THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MEERKAT MOON lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels after COUNT MARSH passed following a second test. b) Between the 1200m and the 900m MEERKAT MOON was allowed to race wide around the turn to avoid any kickback. c) SNOW MOON was baulked for a clear run between the 250m and the 150m. Thereafter, this gelding was directed to the inside of DAPPER to continue its run. d) Approaching the 200m NAVAJO DANCER became briefly baulked for a clear run and thereafter, was directed to the outside of ULTRA QUICK to continue its run. e) At the 100m Jockey C Little's (DAPPER) crop became briefly entangled in his reins. f) In the concluding stages SNOW MOON was baulked when close to the heels of MEERKAT MOON, which hung out and rolled out. g) Shortly before the finish Jockey C Little (DAPPER) hesitated with his riding to avoid running onto the heels of DANUBE. h) Jockey S Veale was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that has the rider of MEERKAT MOON, he misused his crop by striking this gelding more than ten times (11) in the entire race. Jockey Veale signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1800. i) ULTRA QUICK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) MEERKAT MOON : Coughing. b) HEARTS ON FIRE : Coughing. SCRATCHINGS : a) STATE CAPITOL : Not eating up (Trainer - 10.06.2026/06h53).
