THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROCK ME MAMA was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. b) KIM KAY was stubborn loading and slow into stride. c) DEE DEE'S DELIGHT was nervous in the stalls and jumped awkwardly. d) LADY OF FATE and KITANA'S JOY were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (11h40) b) Permission was granted for FONTE to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of this race. d) BLUE DAME had to be switched out to obtain clear running at the 900m. Thereafter, Jockey C Zackey reported that this filly made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. e) At the 200m ONE SUMMER shifted inwards away from the crop and was immediately corrected. f) FONTE, which was hanging out, shifted out away from the crop from the 200m. g) ROCK ME MAMA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM) FURTHER JOCKEY CHANGES/OTHER: a) R Fourie (ROCK ME MAMA) rode +0.5kg. (56.7kgs) THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) BLUE DAME - examined post-race.
