En route to the start ROY'S BLOSSOM lifted the left front shoe which was attended to by the Course Farrier. This filly was examined by the Veterinarian and passed fit to race. This led to the delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHIHIRO lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) The All Clear to this Race was delayed due to a technical fault to the Boardroom. c) Shortly after the start CHIHIRO was switched out when awkwardly placed between CHOCTAW RIDGE and AMPHITRITE, which jumped inwards leaving the starting stalls. As a consequence, CHIHIRO lost position. d) In view of the performance of ROY'S BLOSSOM (8.40 lengths and 40/1 in the betting), which was not persevered with in the concluding stages, the Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) Jockey R A Venniker reported that PEACEFUL DUCHESS resented the kickback from the polytrack. In view of this report, the Veterinarian was requested to examine. f) Jockey J Jacobs reported that BRIGHTSUNNYDAY took no interest in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. g) AMPHITRITE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey R A Venniker was the rider of PEACEFUL DUCHESS (advised 17.06.2026/08h55). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) DEE DAY raced in the Operator's colours (Stewards' permission). THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) PEACEFUL DUCHESS : Coughing. b) ROY'S BLOSSOM : Not striding out behind. c) FLICKERING LIGHT : Post-race distress. d) BRIGHTSUNNYDAY : Nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS : DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
