THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUANDURA lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) K M V RETROFIT and QUANDURA over-raced in the early stages. c) Apprentice D Pillay reported that SANBEENEE choked up in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of K M V RETROFIT (9.85 length and 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) Apprentice S Bungane was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that as the rider of GOLDEN ANGEL, he misused his crop by striking this filly more than ten times (12) in the entire race. Apprentice S Bungane signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1800. f) LAST MARGARITA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) SANBEENEE : Nothing obvious detected. b) K M V RETROFIT : Coughing.
