SIX OF THE BEST jumped awkwardly outwards and carried KIND LADY outwards, which made contact with ATTACHMENT. SMILING MISTRESS was reluctant to load, kicked the back gate open, backed out and had to be reloaded, causing a delay. Trainer Hodgson will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. SISTER LYNN was slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. STARGAZER PINK jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine KIND LADY, which was not persevered with over the final 100m, and submit a report. Apprentice Marday, the rider of KIND LADY, appeared before the Board and was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the finish, or to submit a report explaining why he did not do so. ATTACHMENT lost position at the 300m when it was checked to avoid the heels of SISTER LYNN, which switched outwards when attempting to improve on the outside of KIND LADY, which was tiring and rolled out slightly. Jockey Khathi, the rider of KIND LADY, appeared before the Board regarding this incident and was advised that while the Stewards conceded that there were circumstances to this incident he needs to ensure he exercise more care in future. SISTER LYNN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KIND LADY - inspected post-race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: LOBOLA - lame left fore.
