PEARLY MOON was fractious in the stalls and reared. Trainer Hodgson will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. WOOD NYMPH jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine RAINBOW DASH, which gave ground quickly in the closing stages, and submit a report. Jockey Ashby, the rider of VICTORY EXPRESS, and Jockey van Niekerk, the rider of MATIES WILDEKAT, reported that their respective saddles slipped back slightly in running. PEGWELL BAY was awkwardly placed on the heels of RAINBOW DASH between the 250m and 150m after being carried outwards by QUEENS MUSIC, which was hanging out and shifted outwards. Jockey Cheyne, the rider of QUEENS MUSIC, appeared before the Board regarding this incident and was advised to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. Apprentice Neethling, the rider of POUNCE, was charged with a contravention in that he weighed in at 51,6kg, which is more that 1kg above the weight at which he weighed out. Apprentice Neethling signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. COUNTESS OF RHYNIE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: RAINBOW DASH - not striding out. PEARLY MOON - hit its head in the starting stall, inspected post-race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
