CAPTAINOFMYSOUL and SHE'S GOT IT jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter were slow into stride. MADAME ROONEY was slow, losing one length. JEAN'S PRIDE jumped outwards, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the performance from EXPERIENCE COUNTS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. Jockey van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with RAZZLE DAZZLE ROSE in running. Apprentice Naidoo reported that he felt something amiss with INTIMATECONNECTION in running. Jockey Yeni reported that COUNT TO TEN did not stride out freely in running. SEA CAT and THEME SONG were tightened for galloping room approaching the 50m when carried inwards by PURE POWER, which shifted inwards. An Inquiry will be opened regarding this incident. GOLD ACADEMY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: RAZZLE DAZZLE ROSE and COUNT TO TEN - inspected post-race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. EXPERIENCE COUNTS - coughed post-race. INTIMATECONNECTION - lame on the left fore. TEQUILA BLUSH - loaded and jumped out in a satisfactory manner. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
