The start of this Race was delayed at the request of the Racing Operator. SIXMILEBRIDGE and WARBASH were slow into stride. Jockey Lerena reported that VELDDRIFTER made a respiratory noise. Jockey Zechner reported that BEAT THE ODDS was not striding out. VINO NERO shifted out away from the crop at approximately the 350 metre mark, carrying PAINTYOURFACE outwards for a number of strides. WHAT A BOYTJIE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Aucharuz, the rider of SENATOR, raced in Club Colours with Stewards permission. Vet: VELDDRIFTER - no respiratory noise detected post-race. BEAT THE ODDS - not striding out right fore. MICROSTATE - coughing. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
