The start of this Race was rescheduled at the request of the Operator. Thereafter, the start of this Race was delayed as the tractors had to vacate the race course before the field could depart the parade ring. WYLIE'S CHOICE over-raced in the early stages. Apprentice Sakayi and Apprentice Solomons reported that KING MOUSE and PURE QUALITY coughed post-race, respectively. Jockey de Melo, the rider of ULTERIOR MOTIVE, and Jockey Dillon, the rider of ELOGIO, reported that their respective mounts did not act on the rain affected track.Approaching the 250m, EL BALLERO had to ease momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of LET'S BLAZE, which shifted in away from the crop. Jockey Moodley appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and advised to take more care when shifting ground in future. In view of the performance of BHAKKA, Trainer Wright was advised to report back on the condition of this gelding on return to the stables. LET'S BLAZE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KING MOUSE - coughing. PURE QUALITY - nothing obvious detected.
