ZAZCA'S MAGIC (AUS) lost one length. MAID FOR WAR was slow into stride. THE WHITE FLOWER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable employee Mr Ellis, acting on behalf of Trainer Erasmus, requested and was granted permission to have the lead horse accompany UNTIL WE DANCE to the start. WEST RIDGE and GRAND APPROACH made contact shortly after the start. UNTIL WE DANCE and WEST RIDGE over-raced in the early stages. HANA over-raced in the early and middle stages and was difficult to assist on the bend. WISHFUL TO REALITY broke down approaching the 700 metre mark and was eased out of the Race. As a result ZAZCA'S MAGIC (AUS) had to be switched out to avoid this horse. GRAND APPROACH was hanging out over the final 500 metres. Apprentice Murray, the rider of ADO ANNIE, reported that his saddle slipped back in running. NAUGHTY GAMES raced green. Jockey Delpech reported that he felt something amiss with WEST RIDGE in the latter stages and as a result eased her out of the Race. Vet: WISHFUL TO REALITY - Suspected pelvic fracture, right hind. WEST RIDGE - Coughing and not striding out behind. Scratched: DJEMBE JAMMING - Elevated temperature. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
