BRYONYBRIGHTWATER lost 1 length. TEGAN'S DREAM lost 4 lengths. CAMPANOLOGIST was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. WISDOM STONE (IRE) was pulling hard in the early stages, difficult to restrain. In view of the performance of CADILLAC PALACE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Jockey Veale, the rider of SUCH FUN, had his crop accidentally struck from his hand at approximately the 200 metre mark. MADAME TIGRE and CAMPANOLOGIST shifted inwards towards each other approaching the 350 metre mark, making contact. Thereafter CAMPANOLOGIST was switched out to obtain a clear run making contact with MADAME TIGRE. MADAME TIGRE and CAMPANOLOGIST then made contact on several occasions between the 200 and 100 metre marks. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward as well as Jockey Khumalo and Assistant Trainer Steyn, acting on behalf of Trainer Tarry, rider and assistant trainer of MADAM TIGRE, regarding this incident and after reviewing the patrol videos from the various angles, all parties decided to take no further action and allowed by the Judge's result to stand. In view of the Starter's report concerning TEGAN'S DREAM, the starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn until recertified to jump on terms with a companion. Jockey Mgudlwa, the rider of POWER BEAUTY, raced in Club Colours. Vet: ASCOT CHARM - in season. CADILLAC PALACE - nothing obvious detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure with the exception of CHAMPAGNE SHOWERS (Race 2) which was identified by means of a microchip number.
