STAR FLIGHT refused to load. TINO'S MAGIC was stubborn loading, nervous in the stall. TIGERISH reared as the start was effected, lost 2 lengths. VILLA D'ESTE was slow away, lost 2 lengths. The start of this race was delayed due to STAR FLIGHT refusing to load. AZZERO ducked inwards away from the crop approaching the 300 metre mark and ducked outwards away from the crop passing the 200 metre mark. GUISEPPE, GIULIANI, BATTLE OF HASTINGS and TINO'S MAGIC were hanging in over the final 300 metres. VILLA D'ESTE and ABSALOODLE compounded in the home straight and Jockey Devoy and Jockey Vlooh did not persevere with their rides. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine TIGERISH due to this gelding's poor performance. TRIBAL PARTY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Greeff was questioned regarding the improved performance of this gelding compared to his previous start on 15 November 2014. Vet: TIGERISH - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. VILLA D'ESTE - lame behind, not striding out. ABSALOODLE - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: STAR FLIGHT- refused to load. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and confirmed with the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
