ON THE NOD jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the performances from BAD WINTER and GENERAL ASSEMBLY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings and submit a report. Jockey Yeni, the rider of GENERAL ASSEMBLY, appeared before the Board and was advised against using his crop on a horse which is out of contention for a place in future. THE WEST IS WIDE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. GENERAL ASSEMBLY raced without a tongue tie. Vet: BAD WINTER and GENERAL ASSEMBLY - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
