NORDIC WARRIOR was slow, losing three lengths. RIO BRANCO was slow, losing one length. In view of the performance from NORDIC WARRIOR, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt and submit a report. SIR DUKE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: NORDIC WARRIOR - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys were selected at random for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
