CAPE ROYAL was slow, losing one length and thereafter refused to gallop. Trainer Kannemeyer will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and may not be entered to race until it is passed tractable to jump and race on terms with company on a race day. TEVEZ was fractious loading, causing a delay. Trainer Bass will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. COPPER PARADE was restless in the stalls. VICTORIAN SECRET reared in the stalls. Trainer Snaith will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. Jockey Yeni reported that COPPER PARADE hit its head in the stalls. Jockey Neisius reported that DIVINE JET returned with a wound on the off fore. BARBOSA was jostled between ZAMBEZI TORRENT and CAPTAIN'S SECRET at the 400m. TEVEZ was baulked for a clear run from the 400m to the 250m. TEVEZ was switched in at the 100m to continue its run and was carried outwards by RED RAY, which rolled outwards. This led to HAPPY FOREVER and CAP ALRIGHT being carried out in the concluding stages. An Inquiry will be opened regarding Jockey Yeni's conduct both at the start of this Race and in the Stipendiary Stewards Boardroom after the Race. VIA AFRICA and RED RAY were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: COPPER PARADE - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. DIVINE JET - cut on the right fore coronary band. CAPTAIN'S SECRET - speedy cut on the left fore. MUSCATT - abnormal respiratory noise.
