SOLDIER ON was stubborn loading and ARISTACHUS, which refused to load, was withdrawn by the starter. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. These incidents caused a delay to the start of this race. SOLDIER ON was stubborn loading, thereafter slow into stride. CARBON ATOM was slow into stride. FIRED UP jumped inwards leaving the stalls. In view of the Starter's report with regard to ARISTACHUS, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading into the starting stalls on a race day. ARISTACHUS may not be presented for repassing during this period. At approximately the 1200m ROCK OF AFRICA, which commenced to over-race, made contact with the inside running rail. DAN THE LAD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. When afforded the opportunity to explain the improved performance of DAN THE LAD, Trainer Matchett could offer no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out Running. Scratched: ARISTACHUS - refused to load.
