OOLA and BIG TEASER were slow into stride. WIN OVER lost 1 length. DUX was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Naidoo requested and was granted permission for CAN-CAN INN to proceed to the start with the assistance of a lead horse. MAID FOR WAR shifted in at approximately the 1800 metre mark, resulting in CALIGARI CARNIVAL being forced to ease and clip the heels of MAID FOR WAR, stumbling, almost dislodging Apprentice Mohapi and thereafter losing position. Jockey Lerena signed an Admission of Guilt for a suspension of seven days for a contravention in that as the rider of MAID FOR WAR he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CALIGARI CARNIVAL at approximately the 1800 metre mark. BLACK DYNAMITE raced with her tongue tied down. Vet: MAID FOR WAR - cut into left hind. Scratched: STORM COAST - insufficient recovery time.
