The lengthy delay to the start of this race was due to WEE DOCH 'N DORRIS's breaking through the front of the starting stalls and in doing so losing a front left shoe. The farrier attended to this horse and the Course Veterinarian passed this horse fit to race. Further delays were to due starting stalls gates #1 and #2 opening on their own repeatedly. Thereafter there was a power outage causing the photo finish machine to go down and needing to be re-booted. WEE DOCH 'N DORRIS broke through the front of the stalls and lost its left fore shoe which was replaced by the farrier. This geldings Starting Stalls Certificate has been withdrawn. The stall gates of MISSY FRANKLIN and PIRATE HUNTER opened on their own and these horses were re-loaded. In view of the Starter's report with regard to WEE DOCH 'N DORRIS, this gelding was suspended for a period of seven days and until certified tractable loading into the Starting Stalls. WEE DOCH 'N DORRIS may not be presented for re passing during this period. DIAMONDS 'N RUBIES was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
