The start of this race was delayed due to difficulty in positioning the stalls and a technical problem with the camera feeds to the Boardroom. BETHPAGE was stubborn loading. SOOFEE flyjumped as the start was effected. THE KNOBSTER was slow away, lost 3 lengths. Permission was granted for ATRUMS to be led to the start with a lead horse. THE KNOBSTER shifted inwards entering the home straight and carried MONEY NEVER SLEEPS inwards, causing MONEY NEVER SLEEPS to ease for several strides. Apprentice Patel signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, whilst riding THE KNOBSTER, he failed to ensure he did not cause interference to the runners on his inside at the 350 metre mark. He was suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week. SOLOMONS WALL, hanging in, shifted in approaching the 200 metre mark and cramped BETHPAGE and BRIGHT APPROVAL for galloping room, who were both forced to ease for a number of strides. An Inquiry will be opened into this incident. Apprentice Patel weighed out at 53.2kgs and weighed in at 52.1kgs which was more than 0.5 Kg underweight. The Clerk of Scales lodged an Objection against THE KNOBSTER, unplaced. The Objection Board upheld the Objection and disqualified THE KNOBSTER. An Inquiry will be opened into this incident. Jockey Danielson, the rider of SYLVIIDAE, and Jockey Kennedy, the rider of BLUE HORIZON BAY, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely in the running. MAXIMO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SOOFEE raced without blinkers. Vet: VICTOR SILVESTER - speedy cut right hind hock. SYLVIIDAE - abnormal respiratory noise, uneven behind. THE KNOBSTER - speedy cut left hind hock. SOLOMONS WALL and SOOFEE - coughing post race. BLUE HORIZON BAY - short in front, coughing post race.
