TATIANA was restless in the pens. DAHLIA'S DESTINY was restless in the pens and stubborn loading. STAGE ATTRACTION was slow, losing 1 to 2 lengths. SUPA SAMI, who was hanging in badly, shifted in at approximately the 250 metre mark, resulting in CRYSTAL'S REVENGE becoming cramped for galloping room, having to ease and switch out for a clear run. An Objection was lodged by the rider of the 4th placed horse, CRYSTAL'S REVENGE, against the second placed horse, SUPA SAMI, on the grounds of interference at approximately the 250 metre mark. The Objection Board, after viewing the patrol films of the race and hearing all the evidence, were of the opinion that had CRYSTAL'S REVENGE not been forced to ease and switch out, he would have finished in front of SUPA SAMI and therefore upheld the Objection and amended the result accordingly. DAHLIA'S DESTINY eased off the heels of CRYSTAL'S REVENGE at approximately the 800 metre mark. Jockey Khumalo reported that SAUSALITO BAY was not striding out freely in running. Jockey Lerena was charged with a contravention in that he used his crop in an unnecessary manner, which resulted in wheals on the right hind quarter of the horse SUPA SAMI. Jockey Lerena signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. CRYSTAL'S REVENGE cast left front shoe in running. QUEEN OF ROCK became cramped for galloping room at approximately the 200 metre mark. STRUDEL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SPIAGGIA (BRZ) raced equipped with pacifiers. Vet: SUPA SAMI - wheals right hind quarter from crop. CRYSTAL'S REVENGE - lame right front. SAUSALITO BAY - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: SIN LATIGO - injured back. TOUCH THE SKY and GLOBAL STAR - coughing.
