The tongue tie on WELWITSCHIA (GB) had to be refitted at the start, causing a slight delay. BEACH BEAUTY jumped awkwardly outwards. WELWITSCHIA (GB was hanging out badly on the bend, which resulted in this mare racing wide and the bit pulled through her mouth at about the 900m. As a result WELWITSCHIA (GB) could not be assisted thereafter. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the mare and submit a report. In view of the performances from RAZZLE DAZZLE ROSE and REFLECTIVE IMAGE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these mares and submit a report. JET SUPREME was hanging out badly from the 400m, proving difficult to assist. In view of this report the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly and submit a report. IN THE FAST LANE raced wide on the bend. BEACH BEAUTY and HAMMIE'S HOOKER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. WELWITSCHIA (GB) raced fitted with a tongue tie. Vet: WELWITSCHIA (GB) - the browband slipped over the left ear, and was not striding out. RAZZLE DAZZLE ROSE - not striding out. REFLECTIVE IMAGE - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. JET SUPREME - not striding out behind. IN THE FAST LANE - cut on the right fore.
