CATCH THE TIGER was slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. ROVENTAS was slow into stride. BANDIDO CABALLERO (BRZ) was restless in the stalls. Jockey Behr reported that BANDIDO CABALLERO (BRZ) did not stride out freely in running. In view of the performance from CATCH THE TIGER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt and submit a report. NAVAL INTELLIGENCE had to check at the 1500m when bumped by FLYING GALILEO (AUS), which was carried inwards by ARGO, which shifted in. Jockey Hatt, the rider of ARGO, was charged with a contravention, in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to runners on his inside when he shifted in at the 1500m. Jockey Hatt signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of one week. MULLINS REEF was hanging out from the 400m. GLOBAL DESTINY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BANDIDO CABALLERO (BRZ) raced fitted with blinkers. ROVENTAS raced with a full set of alumites. Vet: BANDIDO CABALLERO (BRZ) and CATCH THE TIGER - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
