ARDENNE lost 1 length. ON THE DOUBLE was squeezed out shortly after the start. Jockey Dillon, the rider of SPAM ALERT, briefly dropped his right side rein at the 350m. Jockey Habib reported that ROCKING RUBY made an abnormal respiratory noise post-race SHE'S A DREAM was presented in the parade ring incorrectly equipped for this race. A penalty of a warning was imposed. Jockey Marcus signed an admission of guilt and was fined for a contravention,read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse ON THE DOUBLE more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey Marcus, the Board considered the number of times (13) Jockey Marcus struck the horse ON THE DOUBLE and his record in relation to this Rule. Jockey Dillon signed an admission of guilt and was fined for a contravention, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse SPAM ALERT more than 12 times in the entire race.
