BLACK BELLAMY jumped outwards. DUKE OF DESTINY jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey Hatt reported that he felt something amiss with LUNDY'S WARRIOR in running. In view of the performance from FULL COURT, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. NIGHTSIDE and DIOGENES were difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. BLACK BELLAMY raced wide on the bend. HIDDEN DRAGON was bumped approaching the 50m by NIGHTSIDE, which was switched outwards to avoid the heels of FRIENDLY TIBBS. FRIENDLY TIBBS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The Ownership of NIGHTSIDE should read: Messrs M F Bass, Jonathan Kaplan, I W Longmore, W D Mealing, Bryn Ressell, W Smith & W J Swart; and the Colours are: Red, white maltese cross, blue sleeves & cap. LUNDY'S WARRIOR is a gelding, gelded 30/12/2013. Vet: FULL COURT and LUNDY'S WARRIOR - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. HIDDEN DRAGON - inspected after bumping its head in the stalls, no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: WOODEN STAR - lame right fore, overreach wound and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
