The start of the 8th Race was delayed due to the 25 minute interval between races as a result of the earlier delays. COY BOY stood, thereafter refused to gallop. RED FORT refused to load. ZESTFUL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Miller requested and was granted permission for RED FORT to proceed to the start with the assistance of a lead horse. Trainer Puller requested and was granted permission for KING JACE to proceed to the start with the assistance of a lead horse. CARIBBEAN DAY was pulling hard in the early stages, difficult to restrain. COY BOY refused to gallop. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. In view of the Starter's report concerning RED FORT and this gelding's previous history, he has been suspended for a period of 90 days and thereafter until recertified tractable with a companion on a race day. In view of the Starter's report concerning COY BOY, the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn until recertified tractable to jump on terms and race with a companion. Vet: COY BOY - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: CHERBOURG - sold without engagement. RED FORT - refused to load and was withdrawn by the Starter.
