MR MOON EYES, which was restless in the stalls, was slow and lost one length. BIG BLUE was slow, losing one length. Jockey Behr reported that GINGER RIPPLE did not stride out freely in running. BLACK AGATE, which was hanging out, shifted outwards and carried NITRO-G outwards for a number of strides between the 400m and 250m. Jockey Neisius reported that BLACK AGATE did not stride out freely in running, and was difficult to assist. Jockey Hatt, the rider of KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS, appeared before the Board and was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the finish in future. BIG BLUE raced green. MARINO CASINO and MUSICAL MAN were selected for the taking specimens for analysis. MR MOON EYES raced fitted with blinkers. Vet: GINGER RIPPLE - abnormal respiratory noise. BLACK AGATE - not striding out behind. Scratched: CHARLIE STRONG - not eating up. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys and Apprentices were selected at random for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
