MAMZELLE was slow into stride. CHASE THE CHERRY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ZIEGLS was pulling hard in the early stages, difficult to restrain. IDOLIZE shifted in resulting in RAVISHING STAR and MAMZELLE becoming cramped for galloping room and having to ease on the inside running rail approaching the 1000 metre mark. Apprentice van Staden signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended for a period of seven days for a contravention, in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses RAVISHING STAR and MAMZELLE approaching the 1000 metre mark. DAISY D'ORA was not persevered with entering the straight. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine DAISY D'ORA. Trainer Crawford advised the Stipendiary Board that IDOLIZE returned to the stable with a bi-lateral epistaxis. The Board advised Mrs Crawford that this filly is suspended from racing for a period of 90 days. Vet: DAISY D'ORA - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: SWEET SERENITY, TEXAS DREAM and CHATTER-BURG- insufficient recovery time.
