The start of this Race was delayed due to the withdrawal CHERRY TRIPPER and a further delay due to the farrier having to replace the left fore shoe on KITCO. GARIBONDY jumped inwards brushing KITCO as the start was effected. PINK MARTINI, PRINCESS JULIETTA and SWELL PARTY were slow into stride. GARIBONDY and COTSWOLD were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PRINCESS JULIETTA raced keenly onto the heels of PINK MARTINI and as a result forced to switch in at approximately the 800 metre mark. Jockey Cormack reported that KITCO was not striding out freely in running. Jockey Marcus reported that SWELL PARTY raced awkwardly in the closing stages. GARIBONDY shifted in slightly at approximately the 150 metre mark. Simultaneously SWELL PARTY shifted out, which resulted in COTSWOLD becoming momentarily cramped for galloping room. Vet: KITCO - nothing obvious detected. SWELL PARTY - not striding out left hind. BEZ VALLEY - returned post race having cast he left fore shoe. Scratched: CHERRY TRIPPER - not striding out right fore and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
