ICE ROAD, which was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly losing three lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. SURREY jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. BANDIDO CABALLERO (BRZ) shifted out sharply approaching the 900m. Work rider Lubisi, the rider of BANDIDO CABALLERO (BRZ), appeared before the Board and was advised to keep his mounts on a straight course in future and furthermore he was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the finish. KING HORIZONS shifted in away from the crop from the 300m. The saddle on ALBERT'S FANTASY slipped back shortly after the start, which placed the rider at a disadvantage. PACHINKO was hanging out throughout. Work rider Andrews was charged with a contravention, read with Guidelines C & M, Appendix L, in that he misused his crop by hitting CAPE SISKIN with excessive frequency and more than three times on consecutive strides in the closing stages. Work rider Andrews signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended for one work rider's race. SURREY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ICE ROAD - returned with a mouth injury.
