DE LA DANZA (AUS), BADGE OF CHOICE, PHILANTHROPIC, NIGHT LOCK and DRIFT ALONG were all slow into stride. NIGHT TIDE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Juglall reported that TIGER CUB took no interest in running. Apprentice Murray reported that he felt something amiss with LEAGUE OF HIS OWN in running. VICTORY EMBLEM was hanging in, in the straight and shifted in approaching the 50 metre mark, carrying DRIFT ALONG and LEAGUE OF HIS OWN inwards. Apprentice van der Hoven, the rider of VICTORY EMBLEM, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and advised to take more care from preventing his mounts from shifting ground in races. LEAGUE OF HIS OWN returned post race having cast the right fore shoe. Apprentice Godden, the rider of NIGHT LOCK, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. DRIFT ALONG raced fitted with blinkers. Vet: TIGER CUB and LEAGUE OF HIS OWN - nothing obvious detected.
