SHINE LIKE A STAR was stubborn loading. THUNDER FURY was stubborn loading, nervous in the stall, slow away and lost 1 length. TACITUS was fractious in stalls, got caught up under front gate and had to be assisted out of the stall and was injured. Permission was granted for ROYAL SEAL to be led to the start with a lead horse. SECOND SEA LORD dislodged Jockey King on leaving the Parade Ring, she re-mounted and proceeded to the start. The start of this race was delayed due to the withdrawal of TACITUS by the Starter. A race review was called into the start. On reviewing the Patrol Film Starting Stall gate 7 did not open and as a result REDSUN lost a significant distance so did not receive a fair start and was declared a non-runner. THUNDER FURY was slow away as the Starting Stall gate 8 opened momentarily slow and was hanging in over the final 150 metres SHINE LIKE A STAR raced green and was hanging in over the final 200 metres. SHINE LIKE A STAR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey King was stood down by the Course Medical Officer, after the running of this race, suffering from muscular complications to the left shoulder. REDSUN the breeder is Mr F H McGrath. ROARING SEA is a gelding. Vet: SECOND SEA LORD - short behind, cast left fore shoe. Scratched: TACITUS - injured in stalls, head injury and speedy cut left fore fetlock pastern, withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. REDSUN - declared a non-runner.
