DINESEN jumped inwards and bumped TAKE A RISK, which was slow into stride, which resulted in PHILADELPHIA, which was slow into stride, and JET REVEZ, being tightened. BYE BYE BLACK BIRD was slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. TAKE A RISK was stubborn, reluctant to load and had to be loaded without the rider. Trainer Steyn will be advised that this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn. Jockey Khathi, the rider of SHIREEN, raced in Club Colours. In view of the performances from CONSTANTIA MIST and BYE BYE BLACK BIRD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies and submit a report. CONSTANTIA MIST failed to negotiate the first bend. The saddle on WILD RAVEN slipped back slightly in running. Apprentice Neethling was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline C, Appendix L, in that he used his crop in an unnecessary manner by hitting TEQUILA FIZZ more than three times on consecutive strides in the closing stages. Apprentice Neethling signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. DINESEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. FORESHADOW raced fitted with a tongue tie. Vet: CONSTANTIA MIST and BYE BYE BLACK BIRD - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: PEGGY SUE - lame right fore.
