FOURTH ESTATE, SELBORNE SUPREMACY and AIR PATROL were slow into stride. DELAWARE BAY and FOURTH ESTATE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Puller requested and was granted permission for KING JACE to proceed to the start with the assistance of a lead horse. SELBORNE SUPREMACY was hanging out over the final 400 metres. KING JACE shifted out away from the crop in the latter stages. Jockey Mgudlwa, the rider of KING JACE, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. CRESCENDO was pulling hard in the early stages, difficult to restrain. Scratched: MALIYAKHE - swollen fetlock.
