RIVA BLU was slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. SOURCE CODE was slow into stride. Jockey Lee reported that RIVA BLUE took no interest in running. ROVENTAS was crowded for galloping room between MOON SHOT and VIENTO MAGICO shortly after the start. DIOGENES had to check at the 300m to avoid the heels of DRAGONSTONE, which shifted inwards when awkwardly placed on the heels of DANCE TO THE BEAT, which rolled outwards. Jockey van der Merwe, the rider of DIOGENES, appeared before the Board and was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts to the finish in future. TAOS was hanging in, in the closing stages. Jockey Noach, the rider of MOON SHOT, had his crop accidentally struck from his hand at the 150m. NAVAL INTELLIGENCE and MOON SHOT were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SOURCE CODE raced fitted with alumites in front and unshod behind. Vet: RIVA BLU - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: BANDIDO CABALLERO (BRZ) - sold without engagement.
