BETHPAGE was stubborn loading, nervous and reared in stall. SYLVIIDAE was nervous in the stall and slow into stride. MIDDLESEX STREET was slow into stride. DO YOU DANCE over-raced in the early stages and compounded entering the home straight. MIDDLESEX STREET was forced to ease approaching the 500 metre mark, off the heels of VICTOR SILVESTER. Thereafter approaching the 400 metre mark VICTOR SILVESTER was forced to ease and switch out off the heels of a tiring DO YOU DANCE. CASTLE ROCK Apprentice Patel dropped his right side rein approaching the 300 metre mark which he re-gained shortly thereafter. STRIKE A LIGHT shifted out from the crop at the 200 metre mark. SYLVIIDAE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Laing was questioned regarding the improved performance of this gelding compared to his previous start on 21 February 2014. She explained that his previous start was a poor run and she felt that this gelding had raced too handy and wide, she further stated that she had over worked him. She gave this horse a rest and in today's race SYLVIIDAE returned to form. The Board noted this explanation. RED SILVANO raced with a tongue tie. Vet: DO YOU DANCE - short left fore uneven behind. Scratched: SLIPPERY SLOPE - lame left hind.
