The start of this Race was delayed due to GABRONZA refusing to load. LUNE DE MIELE was difficult to load. NITRO NORI and WARWICKADALE were restless in the stalls. OCTOBER ELEVENTH, ACTIVE POWER and MIESQUES BALLOT were slow into stride. FAST WILLIAM and HENRY THE FOURTH lost one length. OCTOBER ELEVENTH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Barnes, the rider of SHEIK'S BRASHEE, and Jockey de Melo, the rider of HIGHLAND FLING, reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in running. Jockey Delpech reported that SCRUM HALF was not striding out freely in running. Apprentice Dillon reported that FAST WILLIAM took no interest in running. SADHU was hanging out over the final 500 metres and was switched out to obtain a clear run at approximately the 100 metre mark. JAY'S MAN was inconvenienced off the heels of ALDRIC shortly before the finish. In view of the Starter's report concerning GABRONZA, this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion on a race day. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Lerena was examined and was stood down with flu and dehydration. Vet: SHEIK'S BRASHEE and HIGHLAND FLING - nothing obvious detected. SCRUM HALF - not striding out behind. FAST WILLIAM - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: GABRONZA - intractable and was withdrawn by the Starter.
