Jockey Sampson was examined by the Course Medical Officer and passed fit to ride. IRIS FLYER was slow, losing 1 to 2 lengths. BELT UP raced equipped with blinkers. FOXY ICE was hanging in from the 300 metre mark. SEATTLE FAIRY was squeezed out shortly after the start. Jockey Dean was charged with a contravention in that he used his crop in an unnecessary manner, which resulted in wheals on the right flank of the horse PRINCESS FAULL. 9 Jockey Dean signed an Admission of Guilt and the Stipendiary Board imposed a penalty of a Warning. BE MINE TONIGHT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Zaki was questioned regarding this filly's performance. He explained to the Board that he had been very disappointed with this filly's last performance. The only explanation he could offer was that BE MINE TONIGHT's work programme had been interrupted by rain. The Stipendiary Board has adjourned to view the patrol films of BE MINE TONIGHT'S last run. Vet: PRINCESS FAULL - wheal right flank from crop. CERISE SILK - not striding out right front. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
