COUNT MY LUCK and SIR DUKE jumped awkwardly, losing one length and thereafter were slow into stride. Jockey Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with SHISHANGENI, which tired quickly in the closing stages. Jockey van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with SANFONEIRO in running. Jockey van Niekerk reported that he felt something amiss with OUR JET in the home straight and did not persevere with this riding from the 250m. BLARNEY BAY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ROYAL FOLLY raced fitted with blinkers. Vet: SHISHANGENI, OUR JET and SANFONEIRO - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
