SYLVAN DANCER was stubborn loading, slow away and lost 5 lengths. APOC, AL CAPPUCHINO and RETURN TO RED were slow away, lost 1 length. Jockey van Niekerk and Jockey Vlooh, the riders of BOY FROM BRAZIL and RETURN TO RED, were granted permission to hack their mounts to the start. Permission was granted for IMPERIAL VELVET to be led to the start with a lead horse. SATCHMO was hanging in over the final 600 metres. IMPERIAL VELVET shifted outwards away from the crop at the 200 metre mark. Jockey Latham, the rider of CAPTAIN TURNER, and Jockey Agrella, the rider of AL CAPPUCHINO, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely in the running. Jockey Webber reported that SYLVAN DANCER never raised a gallop. BOY FROM BRAZIL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SYLVAN DANCER raced with a tongue tie. TIGER'S ROAR raced with alumites in front and unshod behind. AL CAPPUCHINO is a gelding. Vet: CAPTAIN TURNER - uneven behind, short in front. SATCHMO and RETURN TO RED - coughing post race.
