BIG NICK broke through the front gates, restrained by the Handler, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn. The Starting Stall Certificate for BIG NICK has been withdrawn until recertified tractable. This gelding may not be presented for recertification for a period of seven days. LATINUS was slow, losing two lengths. JOHNNY CHESTNUT, ROMEO'S PHANTOM and INTI were slow, losing 1 to 2 lengths. INTI raced equipped with alumites. Jockey Appie was charged with a contravention in that he failed to ride the horse GOSSMOOR YANK out to the end of the race. Jockey Appie signed an Admission of Guilt and the Stipendiary Board imposed a penalty of a Warning. INN AGREEMENT was pulling hard in the early stages. NORMAN CONQUEST (AUS) shifted in slightly, carrying GUY FROM DUBAI in shortly before the finish line. NORMAN CONQUEST (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Scratched: BIG NICK - injured in the stalls. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
