ROSEGOLD was restless and reared in the stalls, was taken out of the stalls and reloaded. Trainer Kannemeyer will be advised that this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she may not race until passed tractable on a race day with company. NIGHT OF STARS reared as the start was effected, losing five lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Trainer Marshall will be advised that this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she may not race until passed tractable. LADY AL was restless in the stalls. Trainer Sands will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before its next engagement. NATATELA jumped awkwardly inwards, was slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. The Stipendiary Stewards reviewed the start regarding NIGHT OF STARS in stall gate 5 and were satisfied that NIGHT OF STARS proved fractious in the stalls and reared as the start was effected. In view of this NIGHT OF STARS was declared to be a runner. Jockey Behr reported that ROSEGOLD compounded in the closing stages. ALIYSA'S PRIZE (ARG) and LADIDAH came together and brushed leaving the 100m. ALIYSA'S PRIZE (ARG) shifted out slightly in the concluding stages and LADIDAH shifted in slightly, which led to these two fillies bumping, with LADIDAH being turned inwards shortly before the finish. A Stipendiary Steward called a race review into these incidents, which was followed by Jockey van der Merwe, the rider of ALIYSA'S PRIZE (ARG), placed second, objecting to LADIDAH being declared the winner, on the grounds of interference in the closing stages. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence heard and reviewing the patrol videos from various angles, was of the opinion that both horses had contributed to these two incidents referred to and that the bump that took place in the concluding stages occurred shortly before the finish line. Having given regard to these two incidents, the Objection Board was not comfortably satisfied that the result was affected and overruled the objection and allowed the Judges' result to stand. Jockey van der Merwe's deposit was refunded. LADIDAH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ALIYSA'S PRIZE (ARG) - returned with a mouth injury. NATATELA - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise (choked up). ROSEGOLD - returned fatigued. WINTER'S HOPE - returned with a speedy cut on the right hind.
