SWEET ARIA (IRE) arrived at the start without its left front shoe, which was replaced by the farrier, causing a delay. Whilst loading commenced for the first time, the battery of the starting stalls became faulty and all the horses had to be unloaded, causing a further delay. The field was reloaded. RUN LIKE HELL was very fractious loading, became fractious in the stalls, broke through the front of the stalls and bolted the course. Trainer Govender will be advised that this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for a period of 30 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa. RUN LIKE HELL may not race until she is passed tractable on a race day, with company, on two separate occasions. The remainder of the field was unloaded and then reloaded after RUN LIKE HELL had been caught and secured. SWEET ARIA (IRE) was slow, losing three lengths. PETTY OFFICER jumped awkwardly and was slow, losing one length. SWEET ARIA (IRE) arrived at the start without its left front shoe which had to be replaced, causing a delay. The start was further delayed due to a technical difficulty with the starting stalls that had to be attended to. RUN LIKE HELL broke through the front of the stalls, without its rider, and bolted the course, further delaying the start until this filly was caught and secured. By this time there was a clash of race times with Scottsville Racecourse which resulted in this race being rescheduled until after Race 9 at Scottsville had been run. QUEENS MUSIC was momentarily tightened for galloping room at the 50m between FIDELITY and PECAN NUT, which shifted in away from the crop. Apprentice Thabana, the rider of PECAN NUT, appeared before the Board and was advised to take appropriate measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in future engagements. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported that he felt something amiss with JEAN'S PRIDE in running. Jockey Neisius reported that DRAGON VEIN took no interest in running. Jockey Behr reported that THEME SONG did not stride out freely in the closing stages. In view of the performance from WOOD NYMPH, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly and submit a report. CAPTAINOFMYSOUL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: RUN LIKE HELL - broke through the stalls, bolted the full length of the course and more. Withdrawn, not fit to race. JEAN'S PRIDE, DRAGON VEIN, THEME SONG and WOOD NYMPH - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: EXPERIENCE COUNTS - not eating up. RUN LIKE HELL - withdrawn at the start.
