MARCHINGONTOGETHER reared and turned its head over to the next stall. A false start was declared. WEALTHY lost 1 length. OUR COYS lost 2 lengths. Prior to the start of this race being effected, MARCHINGONTOGETHER became restless in the stalls and turned its head into the reserve starting stall located next to starting gate number one. Consequently, the Starter called a false start to the start of this race. All runners were subsequently restrained by their respective riders, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. In view of the Starter's report with regard to MARCHINGONTOGETHER , this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. MARCHINGONTOGETHER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. MOON IN JUNE over-raced in the early and middle stages. Jockey Moodley signed an admission of guilt for a contravention, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse MARCHINGONTOGETHER more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey Moodley, Board considered the number of times Jockey Moodley struck the horse MARCHINGONTOGETHER as well as his record in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of was imposed. BLACKBALL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BLACKBALL raced fitted with a cornell collar. MOON IN JUNE - mild post-race distress.
