The start of this Race was delayed due to LAVISH GAL and SUMMERTIME being difficult to load. LAVISH GAL was stubborn and difficult to load. SUMMERTIME was difficult to load. DOVER BEACH was slow, losing 1 to 2 lengths. In view of the Starter's report with regard to LAVISH GAL, the starting stalls certificate for this mare has been withdrawn and it was suspended for a period of 30 days until recertified tractable. SUMMERTIME and RAVING QUEEN were pulling hard early. MISS MAGICAL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: RAVING QUEEN - coughing. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys were selected at random for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
