MAGIC SMOKE was stubborn loading. Trainer Azzie was advised to re-school this horse prior to its next engagement. SKY RISE was slow into stride. SAVAGE WIND was pulling hard in the early stages. STORM WARNING baulked for a clear run between the 400 metre mark and the 250 metre mark. Thereafter STORM WARNING switched out to obtain a clear run. Apprentice Zackey reported that MIRAGE DRIVE made a respiratory noise in running. Apprentice Zackey appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and advised not to use his crop when his horse is out of contention. MAGIC SMOKE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MIRAGE DRIVE - no respiratory noise detected post race. SAVAGE WIND - speedy cut left front - severe.
