ENRIQUE and PROFIT RATIO proved stubborn loading which caused a delay to the start of this race. RABIA THE REBEL was slow losing one length. SHABBA RANKS was slow losing two lengths. TOUGH CHOICE jumped outwards leaving the stalls. ENRIQUE and PROFIT RATIO were stubborn loading. Trainers Dawson and Mayhew were advised to re-school these horses prior to their next engagements. AFRICAN ADVENTURE shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. Apprentice Matsunyane signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention, read with Guideline M on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse AFRICAN ADVENTURE more than twelve times in the entire race. The Board imposed a penalty of a fine. When assessing the penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (15) and Apprentice Matsunyane's recent record with regard to this rule. NIMCHA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. AFRICAN ADVENTURE raced in club colours. Vet: THE BOSBOK - cut into left front. Scratched: SO LONG SPRING - inflamed throat.
