JAZZY LADY, DEVON WOOD and BLUEBAYGIRL were slow into stride. MIESQUESROK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DEVON WOOD raced green and was hanging out on the bend. CANDENAUT raced green. JACARANDA FLOWER became inconvenienced on the inside of MIESQUESROK approaching the 100 metre mark. Jockey Shea, the rider of MIESQUESROK, accidentally dropped his right side rein approaching the 100 metre mark, which he re-gained shortly thereafter. Jockey Forbes reported that SORBONNE was coughing post race. Apprentice Dillon reported that MULLINS MOVER was making an abnormal respiratory noise in the latter stages. Vet: SORBONNE - nothing obvious detected. MULLINS MOVER - coughing. Scratched: PRINCESS ARIEL- Urticaria. MS BROOKS - Azoturia. CLUB SAVANAH - Bolted from the loading ramp. Trainer Badenhorst was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, she may be suspended. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
