SPEEDY CHESTNUT jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with PRINCESS SALME. KIND LADY jumped outwards and thereafter was slow into stride. The start of this race was delayed due to SEVEN SUNS arriving at the start late as the filly was reluctant to proceed to the start. Jockey Cheyne reported that PRINCESS SALME choked up in running. HONEY DRAGON over-raced in the early stages. Apprentice Goomany, the rider of KIND LADY, was advised that an Inquiry will be opened regarding the use of his crop in the concluding stages. Apprentice Carstens was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline C, Appendix L, in that he misused his crop by hitting DISNEY QUEEN more than three times on consecutive strides in the concluding stages. Apprentice Carstens signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. DISNEY QUEEN and KIND LADY were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PRINCESS SALME - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: JUST SO - card scratching.
