TOBESURETOBESURE was restless in the stalls. BYEBYE BLACK BIRD was slow, losing eight lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Trainer Kotzen will be advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. Jockey Lee reported that JET REVEZ choked up in running. CASEY'S JET had to switch out at the 300m, to continue its run off the heels of SWEET CAROLYN, which shifted in away from the crop. Jockey van Niekerk, the rider of DANCING JUDY, appeared before the Board and was advised against using his crop on a horse which is out of contention for a place in future. CASEY'S JET was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: JET REVEZ - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
