The race was delayed due to the late arrival of the horses at the start. Race delayed due to the Objection from the previous race. MOTIVATE MAMBO was pulling hard in the early stages and difficult to settle, moving inwards at the 1200 metre mark, causing JUST KNOCK to be squeezed on several occasions and resulting in SIDO having to ease. IRON LADY, hanging out slightly in the closing stages, and JUST KNOCK, hanging in, came together on the line resulting in IRON LADY stumbling. DOUBLE BIND was hanging in, in the latter stages and was bumped by JUST KNOCK on the line. Jockeys Appie, Zechner, and Herholdt were shown the Patrol film of this incident and reminded about the Rule pertaining to interference during a race. No further action taken. AMANZI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Scratched: ADRIATIC SEA - coughing.
